With Special Guest, Julie Matthews, Certified Nutrition Consultant, and author of Nourishing Hope: The Essentials of Nutrition and Dietary Intervention for Autism. Julie is dedicated to improving the lives of those with Autism through nutrition consultation, specialized diets, and holistic wellness coaching.
Her work is based in detailed research and understanding of the biochemistry of Autism and the role of nutrition to restore health.
In this telesminar you'll learn:
- How to treat autism through diet
- The causes and contributing factors of autism
- About the relationship between heavy metal toxicity and autism
- About the connection between vaccinations and autism
- And of course, much more!
Julie has been a Defeat Autism Now (DAN!) Practitioner for five years, and often presents at the national DAN! conferences. Helping people with autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs) is her passion, as she's long been fascinated with biochemistry and the intricacies of the body's systems. When she first discovered that most people with ASDs also have imbalanced biochemistry, she was intrigued and wanted to learn more. She's been studying ever since.
She studied holistic nutrition through California state certified Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts and holds a Bachelor of Science from U.C. Davis in Agricultural and Managerial Economics. Julie is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP), presents for Nourishing Our Children Campaign (Weston A. Price Foundation, San Francisco), and host a weekly radio show, "Reality Sandwich" in San Francisco.
Her multifaceted approach to holistic health stems from her own journey to wellness. Dedicated to supporting the improvement of her clients' health, she creates nutrition and lifestyle plans that best suit each person and can assist their navigation through the world of complimentary therapies. Her supportive "coaching" approach helps accelerate the realization of your health goals.

| From Dr. Doug Wilmore
Professor of Surgery
Harvard Medical School
Digestive Wellness is a “must-read” for those interested in good health. Ms. Lipski’s
premise is that any substance we ingest, whether it be food, alcohol, medications or microorganisms,
will have a profound effect on our digestive system and other important organs in the body.
She substantiates this information with well referenced material which emphasizes a functional
approach to diagnosis and treatment and a natural approach to wellness.
Many individuals neglect their personal wellness, and rely on medication, procedures or operations
to “fix” their symptoms when disease occurs. If you seek to be more proactive and
involved in your health care decisions, this well-written, understandable book is an important
place to begin the process. Digestive Wellness through good nutrition may well be the road to
optimal health.
